The essentials
Your natural hair, explained
What if your hair felt better after every wig-off day?
How do I stop my natural hair breaking under wigs and braids?
Breakage under wigs and braids usually comes from dryness. Hair that sits covered for weeks loses moisture, and dry strands snap when you comb them or take your style down. On wash day, use the Ultra-Moisturising Conditioner to detangle gently with your fingers, then the All-In-One Leave-In on damp hair to keep it soft and moisturised until the next install.
How do I care for a dry, flaky scalp under a wig?
A scalp under a wig or braids can feel tight and flaky from build-up and dryness. Wash twice with the Intense Hydration Shampoo to lift build-up without stripping your hair (it usually only lathers on the second wash). Between washes, massage a few drops of Moringa Hair Oil into your scalp to keep it comfortable.
How can I look after my edges when I wear protective styles?
Tight braids, glue and wig bands put tension on your hairline. Give your edges a break between installs, and smooth a few drops of Moringa Hair Oil along your hairline to soften the hair and keep the skin comfortable. Moringa is our hero ingredient: an African botanical, formulated in Germany into a light oil that soaks in without feeling greasy.

Questions
Good to know
How do I get the free oil?
Buy any kit in November and a Moringa Oil comes free. Our buttons add it to your bag automatically; if you shop another way, just add one oil and it comes off at checkout.
Which kit should I start with?
Start with the Wash Ritual. Add the Daily Hair Care Set to keep your hair moisturised between washes.
Will it work on my curls or coils?
Yes. Zamata is made for curls, coils and afro-textured hair.
I still wear wigs or braids. Is it for me?
Yes. Use the full ritual on wash day, and the oil on your scalp and edges in between.
Is the oil greasy?
A few drops is enough. It's light and soaks into the scalp.
How often?
On wash day, about every one to two weeks.
I have thick, long hair. Is it enough?
Thicker, longer hair uses more conditioner. Washing weekly, the conditioner lasts about six weeks, the others about two months.
